Become our expert in automatic control and regulation for flying boats

SEAir, an engineering and design office based in Lorient, France, specialises in the design and integration of the function ‘Fly’ on all types of boats (sailing, motor, regatta, leisure, pro…). In addition to mastering the design and production of foils, SEAir develops regulated systems enabling the measurement of the environment in order to control the foils in real time ; the purpose being to auto-pilot the boats. The company is in full development with 14 collaborators, but wants to strengthen its team in order to develop new automatic regulation controls for two major programs : the FlyingRIB – first flying Zodiac – and the future 40 foot yacht – first sailing monohull fulling Flying offshore.

SEAir is looking for an experimental Mechatronics engineer

Under the care of our EO strongly orientated towards innovation and naval architecture, you will be in charge of :

  • the design, the programming and integration of embedded automatisms (automatic pilot, flight stabilisation…)
  • the choice of equipment
  • the links with our suppliers
  • the management of embedded measuring devices (navigation units, constraint gauges) and the analysis of the data records
  • test campaigns related to your activity and data analysis

    You have :

  • 3 years minimum experience
  • Knowledge of the nautical sector and the constraints of the maritime environment
  • Ideally experience in competitive sailing and/or motor boats
  • Professional English essential
  • University Masters or engineering school
  • Licence/Professional licence directly linked to the post.
  • Rhinoceros 3D, Matlab, Office and programming
